Web Design

Communication through web portals is quickly becoming the number one communication tool and PR device for your school library.  You need to create, maintain, update your program’s web information often and on-the-fly.  Items such as book lists and streaming video book reviews by students at your school are quickly becoming a standard part of the library website. You may use any number of free HTML web-building sites for quick web design such as: the web templates within Microsoft Publisher, or PageCreator within Google accounts, or create a simple webpage using a free "pbworks" wiki to build a class or library web page.

Please ensure you review the principles of good website design on the website design link listed on the Web Resources page.  Remember to check the rubric below when designing or updating your library website.

Submit this assignment as requested by your instructor.  As you develop your assignment, be sure to review the following rubric for guidance on elements to include and the criteria that will be used to assess your assignment.
